What is your daily motivation, Rodney Graham?
It was hard to give up my only other hobbies other than music: shopping and going to restaurants. But I soldier on. I’m happy to have my studio. I never used to spend this much time here!
Where do you get your inspiration from in these days?
I recently moved my library to the studio and its great to flip through Picasso books for inspiration. He is really the only artist that invariably astonishes me.
What are you currently working on?
I am pretty well locked down and in a work bubble with my assistants making paintings. Light boxes are to hard right now and I’m getting too old for most roles anyway! Trying to do music too, but it is hard because my music is band based and collaborative. Writing songs and just waiting to be able to get in the music studio with my band.
